Bayer Leverkusen has its first recruit. The German Champions are active on the transfer market in order to prepare for next season and have signed Jeanuël Belocian (19 years old). The young versatile defender from Stade Rennais is coming off a full season in Brittany (27 appearances, 1 assist in all competitions) and was made official this Friday.

Welcome Belocian! French under-21 international Jeanuël Belocian is transferring from Stade Rennais to the German football champion and German Cup winner next season. Jeanuël Belocian is a great talent, but he has also been able to gain a lot of experience at the highest level in France. He has a good passing game and excellent athletic qualities,” explained Simon Rolfes, sporting director of Bayer 04. He is expected to replace Josip Stanisic, who will return to Bayern Munich.
