Bayer Leverkusen has its first recruit. The new German champions are active on the transfer market in order to prepare for next season and are looking towards Ligue 1. According to information from Kicker, the Germans will recruit Jeanuël Belocian. The versatile defender from Stade Rennais is coming off a full season in Brittany despite his young age (27 appearances including 20 starts for 1 offering in all competitions).

The German media adds that he is considered the ideal replacement for Josip Stanisic, who will return to Bayern Munich. He can also be a backup to Alejandro Grimaldo on the left flank of the defense. Sky Sports announces a transfer worth 15 million euros for a contract lasting until 2029. The work is likely to be considerable in defense for the Rennais who should only lose Jeanuël Belocian this summer.
