Renuka Swamy Murder: Darshan, Pavithra Gowda fingerprints found on evidence, reveal police- Reports

The Renuka Swamy murder case has shocked people not only in India, but the world over. As per latest media reports, there is a major update in the case which has seen actor Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and nearly a dozen of their associates being arrested. Read on to know the latest developments.

Darshan, Pavithra Gowda’s fingerprints found on evidence

A Hindustan Times report noted that over 200 pieces of physical and technical evidence have been collected by the Karnataka police in the Renuka Swamy murder case. The site also reported that these objects have the fingerprints of accused actors Darshan and Pavithra Gowda on them. They quoted a police official saying, “The evidence was collected from the shed where the murder took place, the security guard’s room where the body was kept, the vehicle used for transportation, the site where the body was dumped, the victim’s clothes, and the weapons used in the attack.”

The official further stated, “The fingerprints on the accused’s clothing were also analysed. The preliminary forensic report has confirmed that the fingerprints match those of the accused. This evidence will bolster the prosecution’s case in the upcoming trial.” Aside from this, the probe also revealed that Darshan and Pavithra were using SIM cards which were allegedly registered under somebody else’s names. While Darshan’s contact number was registered in CP Hemanth’s name, Pavithra had a number registered in the name of Manoj.

Actor Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and several others have been arrested by the Karnataka policefor the murder of Renuka Swamy. Reportedly, the accused were furious with Swamy after he allegedly sent obscene messages and images to the Gowda. The deceased’s body was found near a stormwater drain with multiple injury marks on June 9. The post-mortem report revealed that Renuka was brutally assaulted. He reportedly sustained injuries inflicted by a lathi, ropes, a stick, a belt and multiple batons. The deceased’s hands and feet were tied during the attack.
