AEW pay-per-views are finally coming to MAX, according to a new report.
In recent months, AEW has been negotiating a new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. As previously reported, the possibility of bringing AEW pay-per-views to MAX has been part of the discussions. Tony Khan recently made it clear that he was optimistic about the negotiations. He has also said that the company is 100% moving forward with TBS and TNT.
In an update, Andrew Zarian discussed the situation on the Mat Men podcast. He stated that AEW pay-per-views will be streaming on MAX in January, if not sooner. Zarian stated that the agreement was not exclusive, so the pay-per-views would be available elsewhere as well. (H/t Ian Carey of F4WOnline.com)
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also cited sources who confirmed that pay-per-views streaming on MAX was part of the package, but the specifics had not been confirmed.
This comes after John Ourand at Puck reported that AEW and WBD were finalizing a new media rights deal, and they were set to make an announcement soon.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
