Britt Baker has landed a role in a popular show.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the former AEW Women’s World Champion has been cast in Netflix’s “Cobra Kai”. Johnson wrote that she has landed a role in the show’s final season. Per Johnson, Baker’s role was described as a European fighter who would be competing in a team in an international karate tournament.
“Cobra Kai” star Martin Kove has appeared on AEW programming before. He popped up on the February 16, 2022, episode of AEW Dynamite and gave Britt Baker some advice.
Baker was previously sidelined for several months, but she returned at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. She has been feuding with TBS Champion Mercedes Moné. “The CEO” recently announced that Baker was suspended for tormenting her. However, the suspension reportedly stemmed from a backstage incident with MJF. Baker is set to challenge Moné for the title at AEW All In.
Britt Baker On AEW Absence
Baker previously opened up about her absence from AEW. Speaking on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Baker discussed how it was time to let everything heal. She also said that she needed to find herself again.
“It was everything kind of at once,” Baker said. “I had a torn hip labrum, which again was from the herniated discs in my back, my neck, my wrist. Was just all kind of crumbling together. It was time to let everything heal, and just mentally and emotionally get in tune with myself again because you do kind of lose yourself at some point. It felt like I was stale, I was stagnant, with who I am as a performer. I needed time away to kind of be reinvigorated again and to find myself again.”
