Brock Lesnar was set to work WWE Elimination Chamber before plans changed.
As previously reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brock Lesnar was set to return at WWE Royal Rumble. However, this plan was apparently nixed. On Januayr 26, Lesnar was implicated in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, in which McMahon and Laurinaitis allegedly engaged in sexual assault and trafficking of Grant. A spokesperson for McMahon later said the lawsuit was “replete with lies.”
Brock Lesnar was not named in the suit. However, it referred to a former UFC World Heavyweight Champion that WWE was trying to re-sign. The Wall Street Journal specifically identified him. In the lawsuit, Grant alleges that she was used as a sexual pawn by Vince McMahon with the intent to get Lesnar to sign a new contract with WWE.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling reports that, per a source with knowledge about upcoming creative plans, Brock Lesnar was set to work with Dominik Mysterio at the premium live event on February 24. Pollock writes that a second source confirmed that this was the plan.
As of this writing, it is not known when Brock Lesnar will return to WWE programming. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
