Bryan Danielson was backstage at AEW Worlds End, and he has continued to work with the company, according to a new report.
Danielson has not wrestled since AEW WrestleDream, where he lost the world title to Jon Moxley. The loss effectively brought Danielson’s full-time wrestling career to an end, as he said that he would stop competing full-time once he lost the title. Heading into the match, Danielson had made it clear that he was having neck issues as well. Danielson later appeared at the AEW All In Texas ticketing event.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Bryan Danielson was backstage at AEW Worlds End. Sapp writes that Danielson has “continued to work with the company”, but further details are unclear at this time.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
Bryan Danielson On His Future
Danielson previously discussed his future in an interview with Denise Salcedo for Instinct Culture. He noted that his neck was not great, but he was enjoying his time with is family. When asked about potentially getting surgery, Danielson said that he was trying to avoid it.
“I’d like to avoid it as much as possible,” he said. “The idea to me is that surgery is a last resort, not a first resort. I’m trying some other things first before going under the knife. That’s kind of my plan now.
“If I had to guess right now, I would say it’s 50/50 if I’ll eve [wrestle again], and I’m okay with that. I loved the time I got to spend doing this, but I also love what I’m doing now.”
