Carmelo Hayes is set to fully join the WWE main roster in the relatively near future, according to a new report.

Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, per one source, former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes has been set for his call-up since prior to the Royal Rumble. He is expected to move to the main roster full-time in the summer. Brennan clarified that Hayes simply represented NXT in the United States Championship Tournament on SmackDown in January.

Additionally, the report notes that officials noticed the reaction that Trick Williams got when he got to SmackDown in January. Per Brennan, there have been pitches for Hayes and Williams to continue their rivalry on the main roster after NXT Stand & Deliver, where they will clash in a singles match. However, Brennan states that the plans for Trick are unclear after the show.

Update On NXT Stand & Deliver

The report also cites sources who state that the current plan is for Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams to main-event NXT Stand & Deliver, but this has not been locked in. Brennan additionally notes that Shawn Michaels has been hands-on with the storyline, and he has helped map it out with Hayes and Williams.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
