Former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter returned at AEW All In, and a new report provides an update.
Hayter made a surprise appearance at AEW All In and confronted Saraya. She got physical, and it seemed like they were about to have an impromptu match. However, Saraya escaped, and Hayter stood tall.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Jamie Hayter’s injuries were extensive in 2023, and she had to get special clearance to compete at AEW Double or Nothing. Within months, the company knew that she would not be back by the end of the year.
Per Sapp, the tentative plan for Hayter’s in-ring return to be at AEW All In was put in place in recent months. The report notes that there was a general plan of what Hayter would be doing. That being said, the actual creative was not finalized until this week.
Sapp also writes that Hayter is cleared to compete, and a short squash match at AEW All In had been considered at one point.
