Nixon Newell, formerly known as Tegan Nox, was advertised for ATTACK! Wrestling’s Under The Mistletour events in December following her WWE release. She was then pulled from the shows. A new report provides an update.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) cites sources who noted that WWE and ATTACK! had been in discussions throughout the process, and they worked to try and make the date happen.
Per Brennan, ATTACK! spoke highly of WWE, though sources said they were “gutted” by the result of the situation. Brennan writes that there was no answer as to whether a non-compete clause influenced Newell’s removal from the shows. The report notes that sources said a “myriad of issues” could have led to her removal.
ATTACK! has expressed their desire in bringing Nixon Newell in at some point down the road. Brennan writes that other promotions in the UK and Europe are also booking Newell when she is available as well.
