Eddy Thorpe recently returned to the ring after he previously suffered an injury. A new report provides an update.
NXT’s Eddy Thorpe wrestled for the first time since December at the NXT Level Up tapings on March 19. He has since competed at NXT live events and NXT Level Up tapings.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Thorpe suffered a hip injury during his NXT Underground match against Dijak in what was described as a “freak accident.” He was then cleared to return in late February or early March.
Brennan also writes that Thorpe had been dealing with an unknown injury in October 2023, and he was working hurt ahead of NXT Deadline. The report cites sources whp note that Thorpe is expected back on NXT TV soon, and he is not dealing with any known injuries now.
Dijak then responded to the report by saying that Eddy Thorpe deserves to a champion. He stated that Thorpe belongs in main events, and he looked forward to his return.
Thorpe made his NXT TV debut in March 2023 and had been consistently featured prior to his injury.
