It sounds like WWE has big plans for the SmackDown after WrestleMania later on this evening.
In years past, the RAW and SmackDown after WrestleMania have featured some pretty memorable moments with call-ups from NXT, shocking debuts, and returns. It sounds like we might be getting a big debut on tonight’s show.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, former New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Tama Tonga has been seen in Detroit ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Johnson confirms that Tonga has signed with WWE, and the company is expecting him to start imminently.
This report comes hot off the heels of the news over WrestleMania weekend that former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu had also signed with the company.
Could we see a pairing of Fatu and Tonga on WWE programming? It seems we’ll find out sooner rather than later.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on tonight’s SmackDown as it becomes available.
