Fenerbahce are actively working to secure a loan deal for Ansu Fati, hoping to bring the talented young player to their team until the end of the season, according to a report from SPORT

The outlet mentions that Ansu is highly regarded by coach Jose Mourinho, and the Turkish club has already reached out to his agent, Jorge Mendes, to explore the possibility of a loan move. Barcelona are expected to allow him to leave before the transfer window closes.

It is no secret that the Catalan club is eager to reduce their wage bill, and letting Ansu go would help achieve this goal. Interestingly, Ansu might have other priorities when it comes to his next move, with Sevilla showing strong interest in signing him.

Barcelona want to part ways with Ansu

Barcelona’s sports department, along with coach Hansi Flick, believes it would be in the player’s best interest to find a new club where he can get more playing time.

His injury has slowed down his development, but discussions about his future are expected to pick up pace soon. Several clubs have expressed interest, and while the decision will largely rest with the player, any potential deal will need to meet certain financial requirements.

Fenerbahce, having recently been knocked out of the Champions League, are keen to strengthen their squad with new signings and Mourinho sees Ansu as a valuable addition and is ready to pursue the opportunity if it arises.

There are other offers

Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, is likely to play a significant role in the decision-making process. However, those close to Fati would prefer him to join Sevilla if he leaves Barcelona.

Sevilla’s coach, Garcia Pimienta, is confident that he can help Ansu regain his best form, but it’s worth noting that Fenerbahce might be willing to offer a higher salary.

In addition to Fenerbahce and Sevilla, Marseille and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also shown interest. These clubs are monitoring the situation closely, waiting for both Barcelona and Ansu to make a final decision.

Given the transfer window’s closing date, a resolution is expected soon, as time is running out for all parties involved.
