Liverpool have started the season well in all the competitions.
Under the leadership of new manager Arne Slot, the Reds have done well in the Premier League, Champions League and the EFL Cup.
Despite a quiet summer transfer window, in which only Federico Chiesa arrived at the club, Liverpool have performed well and shown that the Reds can compete at the top level after the departure of Jurgen Klopp.
The Merseyside club were hit with a major blow this summer when Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi rejected a move to Anfield. They have now moved on to another midfield target, someone who has history with Slot.
According to Teamtalk, Liverpool are now looking to sign Dutch midfielder Quinten Timber, who worked with Slot at Feyenoord.
The midfielder has impressed with his performances in the Eredivisie and the new Liverpool boss is aware of all the strengths and weaknesses of the player, having worked with him back in his home country.

The reason behind the Merseyside club’s interest in him is because of his ability to play in a number of different positions in the midfield.
His versatility is a key attribute of his game and that is something Slot believes can be helpful for his team.
Liverpool wanted Quinten Timber to join this summer
Timber is the twin brother of Arsenal defender Jurrien and a move to the Premier League to compete against his brother is a prospect he might look forward to.
Liverpool were interested in signing him this summer but talks did not advance. With his contract expiring in 2026, the Dutch club might look to cash in on him next year and that might benefit the Reds.
Slot wants to refresh his midfield at Anfield and despite Ryan Gravenberch’s brilliant performances this season, the manager is looking to add more quality and depth to his squad.
