Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has decided to reshuffle the midfield in the summer transfer window.
The likes of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro are expected to leave the club after this season while Kobbie Mainoo faces an uncertain future after being reluctant to sign a new contract.
Amorim would be eyeing moves for central midfielders in the summer transfer window and one of the players they are targeting is Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff.
According to Chronicle Live, Longstaff is attracting interest from Man United as well as Everton ahead of the summer transfer window.
Longstaff has not been a regular starter at Newcastle United this season under Eddie Howe.
He has just one year left on his contract at St James’ Park and he could be available in a cut-price deal at the end of the season.
After making only eight starts in the Premier League this season, his future lies away from the Magpies and surprisingly United are ready to take a chance on him.
Sean Longstaff to Man United?

Since he is a homegrown player and his sale would be added as pure profit in the books at Newcastle, they would be keen to get more money out of United if Amorim eventually decides to move ahead with the club’s interest in signing the midfielder.
The Red Devils face competition from Everton and they could be the frontrunners to sign the midfielder since they would be able to offer him more playing time than United.
Longstaff had been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past but United decided against signing him then since his price tag was too high.
In terms of a defensive addition, the Red Devils are eyeing a move for long term target Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton.
