Manchester United target Angel Gomes may be set for a January move after reports have emerged that Lille are preparing themselves for bids in the winter transfer window.
Angel Gomes’ reputation is rapidly growing after impressive performances for Lille in Ligue 1 and an international call-up for England by interim head coach Lee Carsley.
Gomes looked like he was going to break into the Manchester United first-team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but decided to seek regular football in France at Lille.
Since his Old Tarfford departure, he has become an important player for the French side and is attracting interest from many Premier Clubs.
A return to Manchester United has not been ruled out but it remains to be seen if the Red Devils make their move.

Lille are reportedly preparing themselves for several bids in the winter window for their star midfielder Angel Gomes who is subject to interest from several Premier League suitors.
According to the Telegraph: “England midfielder Angel Gomes is the subject of interest from Premier League and European clubs as Lille brace themselves for offers for the former Manchester United player.”
The report references that Gomes’ contract at Lille expires at the end of the season, leading to many European clubs looking at the midfielder with strong interest in England.
It remains to be seen if the Red Devils firm up their interest in an Old Trafford return for Gomes, but it looks likely that the former United academy star will be on the move with England looking like a likely destination.
