Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly impressing in training as he looks to force his way into the starting XI.

Alejandro Garnacho has had a flying start to the season with four goals and three assists in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag had to rely on the young Argentine a lot last season with the academy star scoring in the FA Cup final against Manchester City in May.

Garnacho has competition with Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo being the two clear rivals for a starting place.

Ten Hag has opted to play Amad on the right at the start of the season after his impressive displays in pre-season.

However, with the form Garnacho is in, it is only a matter of time before Garancho starts more games than the other options.

Ben Jacobs reveals excitement at Carrington over Alejandro Garnacho

The young Argentinian has been impressive on the pitch but according to journalist Ben Jacobs, he has reportedly excited the coaching staff with impressive performances.

Speaking on GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs said: “I don’t think Erik ten Hag yet has a fixed or ‘strongest’ starting XI. What is clear is that he has never lost faith in Marcus Rashford. Joshua Zirkzee was signed as a starter.

“The advantage he has is Manchester United know he can play effectively anywhere across the front line. And I think as the season goes on, we’ll see Alejandro Garnacho start a number of big games.

“The feeling I get from Carrington sources is he’s training at a very high level and has an extremely high ceiling.”
