A new report provides more information about WWE working with TNA.

TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace competed in the 2024 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble. She followed Mickie James, who did the same thing as the Knockouts Champion in 2022.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Grace made a great impression, per WWE sources. There was almost immediate interest in bringing her back. The report also notes that TNA made the process “very easy,” and WWE was open to working together again.

Sapp also reports that WWE had reached out to TNA, and Scott D’Amore accepted the proposal, but D’Amore was removed from his position. However, this did not affect the relationship between the two sides, per WWE sources.

Talent On WWE/TNA Crossover

Sapp also writes that several women in WWE have indicated their interest in appearing on TNA programming, with one saying it could be a great way to cross promote and create buzz.

Natalya has been open about her interest in working with women in other promotions, specifically with Grace. Sapp cites one source in NXT who named Steve Maclin as a natural crossover fit, given his lengthy run in NXT.

Additionally, Sapp states that over a dozen talent Fightful spoke with were open to appearing in TNA. They expected something of this nature to happen sooner rather than later. Josh Alexander and Leon Slater were identified as two opponents NXT talent named as wrestlers they would want to face, per Corey Brennan.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
