A new report provides an update on Natalya‘s WWE contract status, as her current deal is set to expire soon.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Natalya’s deal is up “in a matter of weeks”. However, he confirms that WWE has approached Natalya about a potential contract extension. The report notes that there is no word on the terms, and as of this writing, no deal has been signed.

Per Sapp, sources say that Natalya is keeping all options open, and she has been working on projects outside of WWE.

Natalya has been with WWE since she signed a developmental deal in 2007. She is a former Divas Champion, SmackDown Women’s Champion, and Women’s Tag Team Champion. The veteran holds multiple world records as well, including the most matches for a female (1,514 matches). She is one of the longest-tenured members of the roster. In recent weeks, she has been appearing on both RAW and NXT. Among other bouts, she faced Lola Vice in an NXT Underground match in the main event of NXT Spring Breakin’.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
