A new report provides an update on Brock Lesnar following some rumors that there was some movement regarding his return.

As previously reported, Brock Lesnar was set to return at WWE Royal Rumble. There were also plans for him to work Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 40. However, he was implicated in Janel Grant’s sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. The plans for Lesnar were then dropped.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on the situation. He wrote that there was something done that indicated a “less hard line” about Lesnar after his plans for WrestleMania had been dropped. However, he cited one company source who noted that there was “no movement at all right now” to bring Lesnar back as a performer.

Brock Lesnar was also removed from the WWE 2K24 “Forty Years of WrestleMania” cover and the WWE “Then, Now, Forever” opening video.

Gunther On Facing Brock Lesnar

WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther recently commented on his potential match against Brock Lesnar. In an interview with GVWire, Gunther brought up Lesnar when talking about his dream match for WrestleMania.

“Obviously I always was vocal about my dream match in the past, but that fell through now,” Gunther said. “I don’t know if we’re gonna see Brock again, if that’s ever gonna happen. But I’m wide-open when it comes to that as of now.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
