Rey Fenix is scheduled to make his SmackDown debut later this evening, but who will his first program be with?
In recent weeks, WWE has been running vignettes on SmackDown hyping the arrival of former AEW star Rey Fenix. He will make his official WWE debut tonight for the blue brand.
While it’s unknown what the plans are for his debut this evening, a new report suggests WWE already has his first program in mind.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Fenix’s first WWE program is scheduled to be against Andrade, another former AEW star.
Andrade and Fenix had five matches together while in AEW, but only one singles match. That match resulted in a victory for Andrade on an episode of AEW Rampage in 2022.
It’s also unknown if this program will have any presence at WrestleMania 41 or if the rivalry will remain as part of SmackDown.
