Don’t expect to see Scott D’Amore make the jump to WWE or AEW in the immediate future.
Scott D’Amore was terminated by Anthem in February. The company named Anthony Cicione as the new President of TNA Wrestling. Since then, many fans and wrestlers alike have buzzed about D’Amore potentially joining WWE or AEW.
As noted by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Rhino recently stated that Scott D’Amore was being paid by Anthem/TNA through February 2025. Johnson writes that, in asking around about the matter, he was told that Rhino’s comments were accurate. The report notes that D’Amore is believed to have a non-compete that would prevent him from working for a national promotion in the United States or Canada.
