Seth Rollins is reportedly set to take time off.
Seth Rollins lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two on April 7. Rollins had recently returned to the ring after suffering a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus. Despite the injury, Rollins continued to appear on WWE programming on the road to WrestleMania.
In the Daily Update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Seth Rollins would be taking time off after WWE WrestleMania 40. Per Meltzer, the hope was that it would only be about four weeks off. Fightful Select also noted that Rollins was set to take time off.
Rollins headlined WWE WrestleMania 40 Night One. There, he and Cody Rhodes lost to Roman Reigns and The Rock. He also made a brief appearance during Rhodes’ match against Reigns on night two. Rollins was absent from the April 8 episode of WWE RAW.
