Report: Sonya Deville Released By WWE

Sonya Deville has been released by WWE.

In a report by Fightful Select, Sonya Deville was released by WWE on February 7. She returned from injury last May missing nine months of action. Deville was employed by WWE since 2015 after appearing on Tough Enough. She is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Sonya Deville has been informed WWE will not be renewing her contract, @FightfulSelect can confirm.

Deville often worked in factions, most recently with Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler in Pure Fusion Collective. She also worked in a tag team with Mandy Rose as Fire & Desire and also Absolution with Rose and Paige. She was a former SmackDown General Manager.

She last participated in the Royal Rumble match on Feb. 1.
