A new report provides an update on the abrupt ending to the October 22 episode of WWE NXT.
ZARIA made her debut at the end of Tuesday’s show, but many fans did not see her appearance, as the show was cut from the air in some areas.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that NXT was scheduled to end at 10 p.m. ET on the dot, and the show signed off the air after plenty of planning so they would hit the mark.
Per Brennan, producers learned that the Orlando CW affiliate had a 20-second delay, and many CW affiliates cut off the feed at the end of the show. The report notes that NXT officials were said to be very upset with the show being cut early. One NXT source said that “everyone who runs or has a say in the show was pissed.”
Additionally, Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp cites sources who noted that problems like this had been anticipated in NXT’s move to The CW Network, as they would have to adjust to having hard outs. Previously, NXT had more flexibility on USA Network.
