CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are currently absent from WWE programming, and a new report provides an update heading into WWE Crown Jewel.
At WWE Bad Blood, Punk defeated McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell match. McIntyre has not been seen on WWE programming since, while Punk announced on the following episode of WWE RAW that he would be going home for a while because he was banged up.
PWInsider reports that there is currently no talk of CM Punk and McIntyre being involved with WWE Crown Jewel on November 2. The report notes that Punk’s absence would not be because of filming for “Night Patrol”, as the project is in post-production. Meanwhile, McIntyre would have to be cleared by medical after he had to get 16 staples in his head following the Hell in a Cell match.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
