What’s the latest on former NXT Women’s Champion Giulia following her loss to Stephanie Vaquer at Roadblock?
Last month at NXT Roadblock, Giulia lost her NXT Women’s Championship against Stephanie Vaquer in a title-for-title match. Giulia hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since the loss, and rumors have run rampant regarding her injury status.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Giulia is believed to be dealing with an ankle injury. However, those close to the situation have denied that. Reports that Giulia had been dealing with an injury came out in February before her title-for-title match with Vaquer at Roadblock.
With NXT Stand & Deliver only two weeks away, it’s seeming increasingly unlikely that she will be back in time for the event. We also find it hard to believe that WWE would place her in a ladder match if she is, in fact, coming off an ankle injury.
