Josh Alexander said he quit TNA at TNA Genesis, and a new report provides an update on the situation.
Alexander lost to Mike Santana in an “I Quit” match at TNA Genesis. After the bout, the former world champion said that he quit TNA. In a digital exclusive, Santino Marella said that Alexander was still under contract. He noted that Alexander would appear at the live episode of TNA iMPACT! on January 23rd.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Josh Alexander is still scheduled for TNA’s television tapings in San Antonio on January 23rd and January 24th. Johnson writes that these are expected to be his final dates with the company, unless there’s a chance in his decision to test his worth on the open market.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select also reported that many in TNA are expecting Alexander to be finishing up soon.
Alexander has confirmed that he will be a free agent on February 15th. He has made it clear that he wants to see what he’s worth on the open market.
