It certainly sounds like former WWE Superstar Ricochet is on his way to All Elite Wrestling.
Ricochet’s contract with WWE expired on July 1. Shortly after, a report stated that sources from both WWE and AEW expect the former RAW Superstar to land in AEW.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), while Ricochet wasn’t present backstage at AEW this week, his agent was, which led to “subsequent talks between the two sides.”
Sapp states that his agent represents a number of performers across both WWE and All Elite Wrestling.
While this doesn’t confirm that Ricochet will land in AEW, things are certainly progressing in that direction right now.
If the former WWE Superstar signs with All Elite Wrestling, several fans are hopeful that we’ll see him once again stand across the ring from AEW International Champion Will Ospreay. The two men set social media on fire back in 2017 after their matches against each other in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and WCPW.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on Ricochet’s AEW status as it becomes available.
