The Rock returned to WWE at WWE Bad Blood. A new report provides an update on the situation.

The Rock had been absent since April, but he appeared at the end of WWE Bad Blood. There, he stared down Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. He has not been seen on WWE programming since. The Rock has also dismissed rumors that he would not be at WWE WrestleMania 41.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that sources in the company say that WWE is a priority for The Rock. He is expected to be “in the fold here and there” sporadically. Sapp cites higher-ups who say that The Rock has made it clear that he’s part of the family, and he will appear when he can.

Sapp also cites sources at the Intuit Dome who expressed their hope that The Rock would be at the WWE RAW debut on Netflix in January. The report notes that there is buzz for this, though it has not been confirmed.

Update On The Rock And WrestleMania

Sapp also writes that, regarding the rumors about The Rock not working WrestleMania, WWE sources did not know where they came from. They noted that they had not heard of him being there either way.

Other sources note that it’s difficult to predict what The Rock will do months from now. It was also noted that if he wants to appear at a show, even with short notice, he will.

Furthermore, Sapp writes that The Rock’s appearance wat WWE Bad Blood was not something that had a lot of “heavy planning,” but the possibility of his appearance became a reality in the weeks leading into the show.

As of this writing, there is no word on when The Rock will return to WWE programming. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
