WWE SmackDown was subjected to several edits and censorship during last night’s episode.
The WWE Universe was on fire on social media during the June 28 episode of SmackDown. The show saw several edits and censorship made to last night’s show, which caused an uproar online. The feed would cut to a black screen multiple times for no apparent reason. There were also several instances of the audio being muted due to the chants of the live crowd.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), several WWE sources were frustrated by the heavy editing and censorship of last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
One longtime WWE talent who wasn’t on last night’s show reached out to Sapp and shared his excitement for SmackDown moving back to USA Network, stating:
“It’s a chore to watch sometimes. I understand censoring ‘f*ck the Pacers,’ but it feels like every segment is edited and it makes us look like it’s our production.”
Triple H recently noted that these issues will no longer exist for RAW when it heads to Netflix in 2025.
