A new report provides an update on Natalya, as her WWE contract is set to expire soon.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Natalya has been offered a new deal. However, she had not signed it as of this week. This came after Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that the veteran had been approached about re-signing with WWE.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that with Natalya’s deal coming up early next month, one WWE source noted that the situation was being viewed as that they had time to secure a deal.
Johnson also cited sources who noted that they were surprised that the company waited so long to start discussions with Natalya. It was said that talks had not even started until two or three weeks ago.
Natalya is one of the longest-tenured members of the WWE roster. She has racked up multiple Guinness world records throughout her time with the company. She is a former Divas Champion and SmackDown Women’s Champion, among other accolades. The veteran has been featured on NXT in recent weeks, and she has also competed on RAW.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
