Game Changer Wrestling announced that Zilla Fatu would not be appearing at any upcoming shows for the foreseeable future, and a new report provides an update.

Fatu was set to compete at GCW Aura on September 20, but ahead of the event, the promotion announced that he would not be there. GCW also stated that Fatu would not be at any events for the foreseeable future. This led some fans to think that Fatu had signed with WWE, as he has often been linked to the company.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Zilla Fatu has not signed with WWE. Regarding GCW, Sapp writes that Fatu had an agreement with GCW about an agreed rate, so he did not work GCW Aura. Per Sapp, Fatu has a management team that wanted to speak with GCW, but that did not happen. The report notes that Fatu and GW have been in contact. However, there is no word on whether they will work together again.

Zilla Fatu is a real-life member of The Bloodline. He is the son of the late Umaga. Fatu has often teased potentially coming to WWE someday.

Zilla Fatu On Potentially Coming To WWE

Fatu previously said that he did not want to break the family cycle of competing in WWE. Speaking with Joey Franchize, he discussed being part of The Bloodline. He also commented on potentially coming to WWE.

“The WWE, you know, that’s the main one, you know? Because, like I said, back to what I was saying with my family, my family has a long history with WWE,” he said. “So, you know, at the same time, I don’t want to be the first Fatu or Anoa’i to go to WWE. I don’t want to break that cycle, you feel me? But like I say, it just gotta make sense, you know? Because everybody’s journey is different. My journey is different, you feel me? I got it, my story way different from Solo’s, from The Usos, from Roman, from Jacob, you know? So, my story, my story just, I got a whole another chapter.”
