The announcement of Erik ten Hag’s tenure continuing at Manchester United all but set in stone that one player would be leaving this summer: Jadon Sancho.
Indeed, the pair never buried the hatchet over their notorious fallout from September 2023, with Sancho unwilling to apologise for insinuating that his manager was a liar as he felt as though it would suggest Ten Hag’s words were true, therefore conceding defeat in the exchange.
After four months of being cast into the shadows and exiled from all first-team facilities, the winger returned to where it all began in hopes of reigniting the most prolific version of himself at Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho proceeded to make 21 appearances for the German outfit during his half-season loan spell. He notched three goals and three assists in total, with his final outing in black and yellow being a disheartening Champions League final defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.

Sancho tipped to leave United after three years
Now, all signs point towards the exit for him at Old Trafford. Any attempts to reconcile with Ten Hag would perhaps be seen as ‘too little, too late’, and the board would prefer to cash in now to recuperate funds that can be put to use in the coming months.
With Dortmund unable to fork out a respectable fee for the 24-year-old, a switch to Serie A has emerged as a concrete option after Juventus ignited their pursuit in recent weeks.
Alfredo Pedulla claims there have been fresh contacts taking place between the Old Lady and United. However, they would prefer to take his services on a season-long loan at this stage, which doesn’t particularly benefit United in any way.
The transfer reporter adds that Sancho also has potential suitors in the form of one La Liga club and one in the Premier League, although he did not name either side.
