Barcelona have been presented with a great opportunity to strengthen their right wing as Manchester United are ready to let go of their talented winger, Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, who spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, is not a part of Erik ten Hag’s future plans at Manchester United and as a result, the club has decided that the best option is for Sancho to leave.

It is to be noted that Sancho also had a tough time adapting to the demands of the Premier League, which led Manchester United to decide to sell him at a reduced price.

Meanwhile, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United, who originally bought Sancho for around £73 million (€85 million), are now willing to sell him for just £40 million (€47 million).

This presents a great opportunity for Barcelona, who are already in the market for a right winger.

For now, Barcelona have been linked with players like Nico Williams and Luis Diaz, but their financial struggles have made it difficult to secure these transfers. This is where Sancho could be a valuable option.

Sancho had a successful second half of the 2023/24 season at Dortmund, scoring three goals and providing three assists in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.

He also played a key role in helping the team reach the Champions League final where they lost 0-2 to Real Madrid.

Adding cherry to the cake, the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, recently confirmed that Barcelona are close to meeting the financial regulations, known as the 1:1 rule, especially if they can make a few key sales.

If they achieve this, the club can seriously consider signing Sancho, as he would fit well into Hansi Flick’s plans for the team.

Overall, the potential signing of Jadon Sancho could be a smart move for Barcelona, giving them the right-wing boost they need at a much lower cost than expected.
