Rey Fenix is set to return to the ring in May, if not sooner, as he will compete at a House of Glory event.
House Of Glory Wrestling confirmed that Rey Fenix will be in action at their Cinco De Mayo event on May 5. This would mark Fenix’s first match since the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, he lost the AEW International Championship to Orange Cassidy. Fenix has been sidelined ever since, as he has been recovering from an injury. Fenix previously said that he had been dealing with an old injury that had been affecting him since Grand Slam in September.
Additionally, in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Dave Meltzer noted that the plan is for Rey Fenix to be back at AEW by May 5. AEW is set to start a tournament for the vacant tag team titles in the coming weeks, so time will tell whether Fenix will make his return by then.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
