Rey Mysterio is true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, with an influence in the industry that is undeniable. Having accomplished virtually everything in his career, Mysterio is already a WWE Hall of Famer. Recently, he provided an update on his plans for in-ring retirement.

Rey Mysterio has dedicated over 30 years of his life to the wrestling industry, earning immense respect from both fans and peers. Beginning his wrestling career at the young age of 14, Mysterio’s contributions to the business are significant and cannot be understated.

Speaking to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson on the Jaxxon podcast, Rey Mysterio shared that he still experiences jitters before performing. He indicated that when those jitters disappear, it will be a sign for him to retire from wrestling.

“Every night. Even when it’s non-televised, I still get that jittering feeling like, ‘S***; I don’t want to f*** up. I want to make sure everything comes out right.’ I always tell myself, the day I no longer feel that, that’s the time to tap out.”

Rey Mysterio also considered pushing past his previous retirement date as well. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see when The Master of The 619 will finally retire from in-ring competition for good.
