Rey Mysterio still wants to face Dominik Mysterio in a match where his mask was on the line.
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has had a heated rivalry with his son Dominik. Rey beat his son at WrestleMania 39. The next year, Rey and Andrade defeated Dominik and Santos Escobar.
Speaking with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, Rey Mysterio was asked to comment on who he would want to face in his last match.
“Obviously, the perfect scenario, [Dominik] would be the right person, and not necessarily to retire me, but to put what matters most for me on the line, and that’s my mask,” Rey Mysterio said. “Something that I would be willing to do. But if I had to pick another opponent out there, I truly believe that because we tap into our roots, Santos Escobar would be a person that I would love to face.”
