Rhea Ripley stays on top.
WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch appear to be on a collision course for a huge singles match sooner rather than later. When the two had a heated confrontation at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference, Lynch stated that Ripley would soon learn what it’s like to be on “bottom” as “Becky’s bitch.”
During a recent appearance on The Bump, Ripley was asked by Cathy Kelley to address Lynch’s comments.
“She said that I’m gonna find out what it feels like to be on the bottom. Intriguing. That’s really intriguing,” Ripley said. “I don’t know that feeling. Becky, she talks a big game. She’s very smart, she’s particular, and she’s very good on the microphone. But to get Mami on the bottom, that’s a lot of work. That is a lot of work.
“You can continue to cut me off and run your mouth, but to be completely honest, like I said with Nia, once that bell rings, I’m a different Rhea Ripley. I’m not gonna be nice anymore. I’m not gonna humor the fact that you’re talking to me. I’m gonna rip your bloody head off. So talk your talk as long as you can walk the walk. It doesn’t mean anything.”
If Ripley defeats Nia Jax this Saturday in Perth, she will defend the Women’s World title against the winner of the six-woman Elimination Chamber match at WrestleMania 40.
