Ric Flair wants to put the past behind him.

On Monday, The Nature Boy got into a verbal altercation with former WCW writer Vince Russo. Flair blamed Russo, Eric Bischoff and Jim Herd for killing WCW. This seemed like a bit of stretch, especially considering Herd left the company in 1992, nine years before WCW was sold to Vince McMahon.

The pair went back-and-forth online, with Russo subtly suggesting Flair was drunk during his rant. He must have taken this to heart, as Ric Flair posted an apology on Twitter about his previous comments towards the trio.

Flair apologized to Flair, Herd and Bischoff for accusing them of killing WCW. Flair admitted he did not understand the inner workings of WCW, and was wrong to blame them.

He also thanked Russo for giving Flair’s son, David Flair, a chance to pursue his wrestling dream in WCW. Flair also revealed he will be appearing on Eric Bischoff’s podcast, and mentioned the upcoming Ric Flair biopic being produced by The Rock.

“A Very Important Person In My Life Reminded Me Yesterday That Twitter Is The Weakest Form Of Communication. I Want To Take This Opportunity To Apologize To Jim Herd, @EBischoff, And @THEVinceRusso. Because I Really Don’t Know.”

“I Unfairly Judged You Without Knowing The Inner Workings And Behind The Scenes Of The Business On The Corporate End With People You Had To Report To And Work With. I Wish On A Personal Note That All 3 Of Us Could Have Worked Together And Had Better Relationships!”

“For Vince Calling Me The GOAT, I Appreciate That & You Did Help My Son To Pursue His Dream In Wrestling. I Am Going To Do Eric Bischoff’s Podcast, But It Won’t Be To Bury Anybody. It’s To Discuss Our Differences! @TheRock Is Making A Movie On My Life, And I’m In A Great Place! I Hope This Can All Be Put Behind Us!”

Vince Russo Accepted Ric Flair’s Apology

Vince Russo reached out to Ric Flair on Twitter, accepting the Nature Boy’s apology. The former WWE, WCW and TNA writer said that life was too short to argue, and revealed he had no animosity towards Flair anymore.

Life is way too short to hold any Grievances, Ric. Honestly, at this Point I don’t have any animosity towards anybody and I am at Total Peace. I appreciate your words this morning more than you will ever know. God Bless You, Sir.
