Ricki Lake says she didn’t use Ozempic to drop at least 30 pounds amid perimenopause.

“On October 26th, 2023 I made a commitment to myself to get healthier. My husband, Ross [Burningham] joined me in this effort,” the star, 55, captioned a Saturday Instagram carousel of photos.

In one slide, she is seen flaunting her abs in a black sports bra and matching leggings in a mirror-selfie. In others, she and Burningham are seen enjoying the outdoors, including their now-daily hikes.

“Together we have each lost 30+ lbs,” she continued, emphasizing that the couple didn’t employ weight loss drugs to help in this feat.

“I really want to share, because we did this without relying on a pharmaceutical. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.)”

Ozempic, an FDA-approved prescription drug, is one of the brand names for semaglutide — also known as Wegovy — which impacts the brain to maintain satiety and suppress one’s appetite.

The popular drug is meant for type 2 diabetes patients, but used by many individuals — including a growing list of celebrities — for weight loss.

“Neither of us were pre diabetic and both of us felt like we wanted to at least try and do it on our own,” Lake said of her approach to slimming down.

The former talk show host admitted that she was a “bit worried” she might not be able to drop weight like she had in the past because of perimenopause — the transitional period before menopause when a woman’s ovaries gradually begin to produce less estrogen.

But Lake’s hard work paid off despite any physical changes.

“I am so so proud of us. I feel amazing. I feel strong,” she wrote, adding that she will reveal more details about “what I did exactly” in a future post.

“But suffice to say this is the healthiest way I’ve lost weight in all of my years,” the “Hairspray” actress raved, while revealing that she went from 165 pounds to 140 pounds in the span of four months.

Lake’s followers applauded her in the comments section, not only for the strides she’s made in her health journey but for her vulnerability as well.

“Beautiful inside and out! Thank you for sharing! I know it is not easy and have been there myself!” one person wrote, while another added, “Thank you for speaking out and for this very motivating post!”
