Ricky Starks confirms that he is still under contract with AEW.
Starks has been absent from AEW programming since the March 30 episode of AEW Collision. He has confirmed that he is not injured, and he dismissed rumors that he turned down creative. In August, Tony Khan confirmed that he was still under contract with AEW.
Speaking with Joe Roderick for Claibs Online, Ricky Starks was asked whether he was still under contract with AEW.
“Correct, yes, I am,” Starks said.
Ricky Starks then discussed his appearance at Glory Pro Wrestling and his upcoming match. He noted that he didn’t want to keep sitting at home.
“Well you know, I can’t be stuck at home for too much longer,” Starks said. “Obviously I go stir crazy. I saw an opportunity with Kody Lane to come out and challenge for the title. I thought it was even a better idea because I used to live in St. Louis, so I thought it was a good way to make a return. Also, he known Kody for quite a bit, so I said why not? Why not just come back and test the grit against somebody that I’m very much familiar with.”
As of this writing, there is no word on when Ricky Starks will return to AEW programming.
