Ricky Starks’ Message To HOOK
In hindsight, it seems like Ricky Starks might have been right about HOOK. When HOOK was still working alongside Chris Jericho, Starks advised that the FTW Champion should turn down Jericho’s offer of mentorship. In an interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Starks shared his thoughts on the situation.
“HOOK’s the man, ain’t he? HOOK’s really cool,” Starks said. “I don’t know if HOOK needs someone to take him under his wing. Don’t forget, his father is Taz. So if I was HOOK, I would politely decline Jericho’s offer and go talk to his dad, or me.”
Jericho went on to beat HOOK for the FTW Championship at AEW Dynasty. Starks’ former tag team partner, Big Bill, has since aligned with Jericho.
