Newly signed WWE NXT Superstar Ricky Starks has been pulled from an upcoming independent appearance.
Ricky Starks was initially booked for a match against Aaron Solo this weekend at Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling. Unfortunately, Starks has been pulled from the event.
Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling took to social media to announce Starks being pulled from the card, tweeting out:
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, Ricky Starks will not be in attendance on Saturday, February 15th at the Tannery Row Ale House. However, you can still expect the same incredible evening of Georgia’s premier star studded, action packed, family friendly, independent professional wrestling that TCW Live has to offer! We will see you at the matches,” Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling said in a post.
The Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling event takes place in Georgia on Saturday, February 15. This is the same date that NXT has Vengeance Day scheduled in Washington DC so it’s likely Starks will be doing something at that show.
Before signing with WWE, Starks captured the DEFY Championship over the weekend. It’s unknown if WWE will allow him to drop that title or if he’ll be forced to vacate it.
