Ricochet has reunited with his trainer and long-time friend Chuck Taylor backstage in AEW.

The former WWE Superstar made an impressive debut for AEW at Wembley Stadium last month. He appeared a surprise entrant into the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In, in a match that was eventually won by Christian Cage.

Ricochet has been reunited with a number of his former colleagues in AEW. This includes the man who helped train him in the recently-retired Chuck Taylor.

Ricochet was interviewed following his win over Sammy Guevara on Dynamite. After being interrupted by Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly and Orange Cassidy, Ricochet was confronted by Taylor.

The pair feigned tension, but quickly broke and hugged each other. They were both amazed at being from small towns in Kentucky, to finally making it in AEW and wrestling in their home state.

Chuck Taylor said he was “so happy to see” Ricochet in AEW, before joking that he is giving his “Awful Waffle” finisher to the former WWE Superstar.

Ricochet then explained how Chuck Taylor helped train him to wrestle when he first started out. He added that he has many friends in AEW, and is excited to be a part of an impressive roster of talent.

“That’s awesome. Chuck Taylor, bro. Literally on my first day of training, he was there to help me out. He’s been there, basically, for my whole career. It feels awesome to be here in AEW, where the best come to wrestle.”

“Not only that, but I have so many friends in the back. It honestly feels like home to me. So, I’m just ready for the future and what I’ve got to do here in All Elite Wrestling.”
