The torment of being a professional wrestler in the big leagues like WWE can be overwhelming to one’s health, both physically and mentally and it seems that has caught up to NXT star Ridge Holland who made a shocking decision.
It was announced earlier that Ridge Holland would be addressing the NXT Universe on tonight’s edition of the show. This came after the former Brawling Brute had been dealing with issues evident for the last few weeks, while the returning Shawn Spears added to his ongoing inner battles.
Holland came out to the ring to make his address to the WWE fans in the Capitol Wrestling Center. He mentioned the toll that one endures during the journey of trying to make it as a top-tier WWE superstar, while also acknowledging the events from the last few weeks where he was visibly not up to 100% in his work ethic.
Moreover, Ridge even mentioned the importance of his family in his life. Sensing that his head and heart are not in the game and even between the ropes, the NXT star made a heavy decision to step away from in-ring competition indefinitely.
Ridge Holland then placed the microphone in the middle of the ring and exited the proceedings with the NXT fans thanking the dynamic superstar for all his contributions while being shocked about his decision to leave wrestling for the unforeseen future.
