Rikishi has another son who could become a WWE Superstar in the future.
If Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa weren’t enough, Rikishi also has a sixteen-year-old called Samson Fatu who could move into pro wrestling in the future.
This sixteen-year-old, six-foot-five and 295-pound monster has all the making of a WWE Superstar. However, he is also exploring university and football opportunities before committing himself to the WWE.
Rikishi spoke on the Off The Top Podcast about his son and his potential in wrestling. He said he is putting in the work and was inspired by the reaction his family got at WrestleMania 40.
“Samson’s 16 years old, 6’5″ and 295 pounds, with size 16 shoes. He’s just putting in the work, you know what I mean? Samson wants to pave his own way. That photo I posted, where we’re in a suite and he’s looking into the ring, was a moment where I had the chance to show him the crowd’s reaction. I was telling him, ‘Look at the crowd, see how they react to your brothers when they come out.’ It was a one-on-one moment with me and him, and he asked, ‘Why do they do this? Why are the fans reacting this way?'”
“I took that moment to teach him the lessons I’ve shared with all the students at Knocx, bro. I talked about the emotions and timing of wrestling — knowing when to take a bump, when not to take one, how to tease a move, and how to engage with the fans. You see, the fans want to be entertained, and if you’re not engaging with them, then it’s like you’re not performing for each other — you’re performing for them.”
“He always knew this on some level, but seeing it live, in action, raised a lot more questions. And trust me, he had a lot more questions after that.”
Rikishia Told Samson Fatu That Wrestling Would Always Be There For Him
Rikishi then revealed that he told his son to focus on his schooling and his football before committing to wrestling. He told Sampson that wrestling would always be there, and that his son wanted to become a billionaire before moving into the NFL or WWE.
“He sounds like he has a bit of interest, Joey, but you know, if the day ever comes where Samson decides to fully dive into it, I’ll have no worries. He’s been around this business since he was five. I mean, he was already doing 50/50 raffles at Noxboro events. You were there, so you remember.”
“I never imagined how much he’d grow. The doctor said he’d be my biggest, tallest kid, and they predicted he’d be around 6’8″. Well, he’s 6’5″ now at 16. It’s incredible how quickly he’s growing.”
