The ROH Tag Team Championship will be on the line in Alaska for the first time ever.

The state of Alaska has never been a hotbed of wrestling. This is mainly due to the geography of the state, as well as the sparse population compared to it’s size.

However, this could all be about to change, with a huge match currently announced to take place. The ROH Tag Team Titles are set to be defended in Alaska for the first time ever next month. The champions travel for a match on May 3rd.

ROH Tag Team Champions’ Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) will defend their title belts against Cheeseburger & LSG at the Alaska Airlines Center on May 3rd, 2024.

This will be part of the WrestlePro Alaska 5th anniversary show that is taking place that night. It will also be the site of the first ever steel cage match in Alaskan history, as claimed by the promotion.

WrestlePro Alaska wrote on Instagram:

“? FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER THE ROH TAG TEAM TITLES WILL BE DEFENDED IN ALASKA ?

Matt Taven & Mike Bennett collectively known as The Undisputed Kingdom are the current reigning Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions and have just raised the stakes against former ROH superstars Cheeseburger & LSG!”

For the first time in history a Ring of Honor title will be defended in ALASKA and it happens on May 3rd 2024 at the Alaska Airlines Center!”

The pair also cut a promo on Instagram about that match. They said:

“April shows bring May flowers. Especially on May 3rd. Because us two beautiful flowers are going to roll into the Alaka Airlines Center and wrestle Cheesburger – oh my god, Cheeseburger. Once again we met – and LSG, and we’re gonna do what we do best. And that’s kick yo’ ass!”
