On his Youtube channel Five, former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand spoke about the future of his favorite club. While Erik ten Hag’s days are – for the moment – not numbered, the Englishman already has a name in mind to replace him: Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal coach. However, a departure is not on the agenda for the Spanish technician.

“No one is saying this is going to happen, but if Manchester United said, ‘you know what, Erik ten Hag, thank you’ or Erik ten Hag was poached by Bayern Munich, and he goes there, and Manchester United say first on the list is Arteta, no problem. Arteta comes in and tells the guys: ‘listen guys, it’s been a lot of emotion, but I have to move, I have to go'”declared the former central defender of the Red Devils, convinced that the former assistant player of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City wants to join Old Trafford.
