iconic industrialist’s passing. Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons and a beloved philanthropist, passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday. He had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after suffering a sudden drop in blood pressure and was in critical condition in the ICU.

Big B tweeted, “Just came to learn of the passing of Shri Ratan Tata .. was working very late.” He further added, “An era has ended.. a most respected, humble yet visionary leader of immense foresight and resolve.. Spent some wonderful moments with him, during several Campaigns we were involved in together .. My prayers”

Simi pens an emotional note for ex-lover
Simi Garewal, who once admitted to dating Ratan Tata, took to social media and shared a heartfelt tribute following his demise. Sharing a picture from their interaction on her show – Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, the actress wrote, “They say you have gone .. It’s too hard to bear your loss..too hard.. Farewell my friend..#RatanTata”
About Ratan Tata
Ratan Tata joined the Tata group in 1961, where he worked on the shop floor of Tata Steel. He later succeeded J. R. D. Tata as chairman of Tata Sons upon the latter’s retirement in 1991. Under his tenure, the Tata Group acquired brands such as Tetley, Jaguar Land Rover, and Corus among others. The industrialist invested in companies like Snapdeal, Teabox, CashKaro, and Ola Cabs. Tata is also one of the largest and notable philanthropists, having donated around 60–65% of his income to charity.
